Rajganj, 23rd February: 40-year-old Abhishek Chettri, a driver of Bhutan’s boulder-laden dumper truck, was fatally run over by his own vehicle while he was trying to park it in the Fulbari border area.
According to local sources, the man apparently misplaced his keys and so he went underneath his vehicle and tried to start the it with the help of a screwdriver. Unfortunately, the dumper rolled over him, killing him on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, the NJP police headed to the spot and recovered the body. The remains were sent to the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital for an autopsy.
