Cooch Behar, 16th May: Cops of Pundibari Police Station of Cooch Behar arrested a man identified as Dinanath Adhikari (50) for killing his younger brother Pawaneshwar Adhikari (40).
According to the reports, Pawaneshwar Adhikari came home drunk on Sunday night and started quarreling with his wife and children. To stop the quarrel, Dinanath Adhikari stepped forth and a fight broke out between the two brothers. It is alleged that Dinanath attacked his younger brother with a sharp tool, killing Pawaneshwar on spot.
The officials of Pundibari Police Station reached the spot and took the accused into custody. The body of the deceased was sent to Cooch Behar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. This morning, Additional Superintendent of Police Kumar Sunny Raj and OC Nakul Roy of Pundibari police station took stock of the incident. Police are probing the whole matter.
