Man attacks brother’s wife with sharp weapon in Siliguri’s Rabindranagar area

Siliguri, 18th May: Tension gripped Rabindranagar area in Siliguri on Monday night after a man allegedly attacked his brother’s wife with a sharp weapon following a family dispute.

According to local sources, a long-standing domestic conflict escalated, after which the accused allegedly struck the woman on the head with a sharp weapon, leaving her severely injured. The woman collapsed on the spot in a bleeding condition.

On receiving information, police from Siliguri Police Station reached the spot and rescued the injured woman, who was later admitted to Siliguri District Hospital for treatment.

The accused was detained by police and taken to the police station. An investigation has been initiated into the incident.
