Siliguri, 17th August: A dispute broke out between two neighbours over the boundary wall of a piece of land. A person was severely injured after he was attacked with an axe. The incident surfaced from the Kanchan Bari area under the Fulbari-2 region.
As per the information, Sahadev Roy, a resident of the Kanchan Bari area, was attacked by several locals when he was working on the boundary wall of his house. Allegedly, a neighbour hit him with an axe and another person was injured while trying to save him. Roy was rescued and rushed to Siliguri District Hospital.
After the incident, a written complaint has been lodged against the five accused at the NJP police station. The NJP police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
