Kharibari, 29th November: Kharibari police arrested a person with banned cough syrup and cash worth Rs 2 lakh at Panitanki on the Indo-Nepal border of Kharibari.
The accused has been identified as Rahul Adhikari, a resident of the Gaursingh Jote area of Panitanki. As per the police sources, the youth was arrested while heading from Naxalbari to Panitanki. After this, the police recovered 28 bottles of banned cough syrup and the said cash from his scooty during the search.
Today the accused was presented in the Siliguri Divisional court. The Kharibari police have started investigating the entire matter.
