Fulbari, 27th January: A maize-laden truck lost control and overturned at the roadside in Fulbari. The incident surfaced on Thursday morning near Asian Highway in Fulbari India-Bangladesh border. No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to local sources, the truck was heading towards Bangladesh from Fulbari. At that moment, the car suddenly lost control and overturned into a sewer while parking at the roadside. The driver of the vehicle has been absconding since the incident.
In this regard, Shubhankar Naskar, Secretary of Fulbari Border Truck Owners Association, said that traffic congestion is regularly created on the Asian Highway from Fulbari to the Indo-Bangladesh border. Cars are parked on the roadside as there is no proper parking arrangement in the area. As a result, locals and pedestrians frequently meet with accidents.
