Love triangle in Siliguri led to a horrific tragedy for an innocent, lover along with his two brothers kills a friend

Siliguri, 19th December: Sensation ensued in the area of Bhupendranagar under Ward No. 42 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, after three brothers together killed a young man with a knife and killed him late on Sunday night over a love triangle gone wrong. The deceased has been identified as Manish Gupta (22).


 

According to Bhaktinagar police station, Manish Gupta used to message the girlfriend of the accused Ankit Sharma which at times raised a dispute about the same. Earlier, Ankit had also warned Manish through his brother not to message his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Ankit and his two brothers had an altercation with Manish late on Sunday night. After which Ankit Sharma along with his two brothers Prabhat Sharma and Rohit Sharma stabbed Manish Gupta with a knife.


 

After the incident, Manish Gupta was taken to a nearby nursing home under Bhaktinagar police station in a seriously injured condition, but unfortunately, Manish died during treatment. On receiving the news of Manish’s death, the family ransacked the hospital this morning, alleging negligence on the part of the hospital. Due to this an atmosphere of widespread tension arose on the hospital premises for some time.

 

On the other hand, ACP Shubhendra Kumar, and Commissioner of Police Akhilesh Chaturvedi reached the spot soon after getting the news of the incident and brought the situation under control. The police have detained two people for vandalizing the nursing home. At the same time, the police of Bhaktinagar police station have arrested three people Ankit Sharma, Prabhat Sharma and Rohit Sharma for the murder of Manish Gupta. Today the accused have been produced in the Jalpaiguri court.
