Lockdown violator in Jalpaiguri wet his pants in fear

Jalpaiguri, 08th August: Today marks the second day of Bengal’s weekly lockdown for the month of August. Like other districts in the state, strict lockdown has been imposed in Jalpaiguri.


A large police force led by Bipul Sinha Inspector-in-charge (IC) of Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police Station, conducted operations across the city since this morning. Around 22 people were detained for violating the lockdown.

As per the report, several lockdown violators ran for cover upon spotting the police. Amidst the chase, police got hold of one such lawbreaker but the situation took a different turn when the youth accidentally wet his pants in fear. The police let go of him.


West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced on Monday that a biweekly lockdown will be enforced in the state to combat the COVID outbreak. There will be a complete lockdown in the state for two days every week till the end of the month.
