Siliguri, 05th August: The locals of Hakim Para under Ward No. 16 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation caught a youth red-handed smuggling drugs. The youth has been identified as Wangchen Gurung a resident of Darjeeling.
Reportedly, this morning two youths were suspiciously moving around the area of Birendra Krishna Bhadra Sarani of Hakim Para. The locals acting on their suspicion started questioning the two men. During this, a youth fled from the spot. However, the locals caught the other.
Upon searching him, large amount of intoxicant substances was recovered from his pocket. Soon after, the locals informed the police, who rushed to the spot and took the youth into custody. Police are probing the entire incident.
