Fulbari, 27th July: A scooty rider was seriously injured after a collision between a lorry and a scooty in Putimari area of Fulbari Teesta Canal Road.
According to local sources, the scooty rider was thrown onto the road due to the impact and sustained serious injuries. The front portion of the scooty was badly damaged in the accident.
After receiving information, police from Canal Road Traffic Outpost and local residents reached the spot. With their help, the injured person was rescued and rushed to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for treatment.
The identity of the injured rider is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, police from New Jalpaiguri Police Station recovered the damaged scooty and started an investigation into the incident.
