Bagdogra, 04th January: Locals, on Tuesday, averted a possible mishap by alerting officials about a crack in the railway track near Bagdogra railway station.
It has been learned that after the Siliguri-Balurghat train departed, the locals noticed a crack in the railway track. and immediately informed the officials. Shortly after, repair work started. As of now, trains will run at a speed of 20 kmph.
Railway official Shambhu Kumar said the situation is under control at present. Trains will run slow at a speed of 20 kmph. Railway workers started repair work as soon as they received the information.
