Rajganj, 25th September: Sensation prevailed after a live cartridge was found hanging along the lock of a stationary store own by the son of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) member in the Bhutkihaat area of Rajganj.
As per reports, on Monday morning, the owner spotted a live cartridge hanging near the lock as he went to open his store located in the Majarsuba area of Bhutkihaat under Majhiali Gram Panchayat of Rajganj Block. As the news surfaced, a large crowd gathered in the area. Meanwhile, Subhas Roy also arrived at the spot.
In this regard, Subhas Roy narrated the sequence of events by stating that his son noticed the bullet first. He added that, after being alerted, he arrived at the spot and informed the police. Furthermore, he claimed that one such cartridge was also found in an individual’s residence during the counting of votes for Panchayat polls. The TMC member also urged the police to investigate and bring to light the miscreants involved in spreading panic in the area.
Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the spot, recovered the cartridge, and initiated an investigation into the entire incident.
