Leopard trapped in a cage in Tulsipara tea garden

Birpara, 14th February: A leopard was trapped in a cage planted by the Forest Department in Section No. 3 of the Tulsipara Tea Garden. The laborers, working in the garden, sighted the leopard, today morning, and informed the forest department about the incident. Upon receiving the news, the forest personnel of the Lankapara Range reached the spot and recovered the leopard.


It was reported that after a woman was killed in a leopard attack on December 17th, 2019 in the Garganda tea garden. A total of 9 cages were planted by the Forest Department in Tulsipara, Garganda, Ramjhora, Dumchipara tea garden areas. Many other cages have been planted in the tea garden areas.
