Leopard ‘Sachin’ dies of heart attack in Siliguri Bengal Safari Park

Siliguri, 20th December: After a leopard named ‘Sachin’ escaped from its enclosure in the Bengal Safari Park on January 1, 2019, the forest workers conducted massive search operations to track Sachin. However, the animal himself returned to the park a few days later. Since then, he has been kept under strict surveillance.


Unfortunately, Sachin passed away on Saturday. Reportedly, he died of a heart attack.

In this concern, Badal Debnath, director of Bengal Safari Park, said that Sachin was ill for the past seven days and was kept under the guidance of doctors. Unfortunately, he breathed his last on Saturday.


Initially, doctors said that Sachin had died of heart disease. However, samples of Sachin’s body were sent to Kolkata to find out the exact cause of death.
