Darjeeling, 04th January: The forest department recovered a leopard entangled in the barbed wire fence in Margaret’s Hope Tea Garden of Naya Gaon, Darjeeling.
Reportedly, the plantation management informed the forest department as soon as the adult leopard trapped in the wire fence was spotted on Sunday. Soon after receiving the news, the forest staff from Senchal West Range immediately reached the spot and started the rescue work.
As per the forest official, the leopard has been taken to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (PNHZP) in Darjeeling for further treatment.
