Alipurduar, 23rd April: A leopard carcass was recovered from the premises of Tasati Tea Garden under Alipurduar district.
The incident was reported to the forest department after the tea garden laborers noticed the carcass lying in the garden.
Upon receiving the news, the Madarihat Range officials reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Jaldapara for an autopsy. The forest workers primarily suspected that the leopard must have been hit by a car.
