Siliguri, 24th September: The National Highway 10 (NH10) is undergoing restoration efforts as a significant portion of the highway has suffered substantial damage after a massive landslide. In response, commuters have been urged to make use of alternative routes to avoid potential traffic congestion.
According to reports, a considerable section of the road has collapsed along the NH10 at Sethi Jhora due to a landslide. Regular vehicles are advised to use other convenient routes including the route via Kurseong from Teesta to Siliguri and a Sangsey to Lava Gorubathan or the Coronation Bridge. Meanwhile, heavy vehicles heading from Sikkim to Siliguri are directed to employ Chitrey Fatak from Kalimpong town along the Lava Gorubathan road via Coronation Bridge.
