Bagdogra, 5th June: On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Kurseong Forest Department, on Monday, organized a cycle rally and cleanliness drive to spread awareness on environmental protection.
Reportedly, along with the Forest Departments of Tukriyajhar, Bagdogra, Ghoshpukur, Panighata, and Bamanpokhri Range, various school students under the Kurseong Forest Department, including, Vigyan Manch, participated in the cycle rally.
In addition, under the initiative of the ‘Mission Life’ program, a cleanliness drive was also undertaken.
Speaking in this regard, the Assistant Divisional Forest Officer (ADFO) of Kurseong Divison Bhupen Biswakarma stated that the programs have been organized with the aim to protect the environment and make the region plastic-free.
