Cooch Behar, 30th November: A conflagration broke out in a jute-laden vehicle in the Subash Pally area of Ward No. 02, Cooch Behar. Reportedly, this morning, the vehicle was heading from Pundibari to Dewanhat. While on the way, a spark emanating from an electric wire fell on the vehicle due to a sudden short circuit and the vehicle caught fire.
At first, the locals tried to douse the fire but shortly after had to inform the fire department. Reportedly, a jute worth about Rs 3 lakh was loaded in the vehicle. However, there is no news of any casualty in the said incident.
