JDU submits memorandum to SDO in support of various demands

Siliguri, 09th January: A memorandum has been handed over by the Darjeeling District Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) to the Sub-Divisional Officer, on Thursday, in support of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA) and various other demands.


A meeting was organized on behalf of the Darjeeling District Janata Dal (United) near Motor Stand, Mallaguri, where, Bhushan Soni, the Darjeeling District President of Janata Dal (United), addresssed the people and stated that the people were being misled regarding the CAA. He further stated that the CAA was implemented for the safety of the people.
After the meeting, the Janata Dal (United) handed over a memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer in support of 12-point demands. The State President Ashok Das, Jalpaiguri District President Nayan Biswas, Secretary Swapan Das were mainly present in the meeting.
