Jalpaiguri, 13th April: Based on a tip-off, the Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police launched operations in Jayanti Para and the oil tanker area and arrested a gang of 5 robbers, late Sunday night. Local firearms and sharp weapons were seized from their possession.
The arrested accused have been identified as Bhola Mandal, a resident of Jayanti Para, Ganesh Paswan, Manoj Mandal, Suman Kahar and Hakaru Paswan. They were produced before the District Court on Monday.
