Jalpaiguri Police administration makes wearing mask mandatory before entering the market

Jalpaiguri, 24th April: To deal with the coronavirus outbreak, the Jalpaiguri Police have made it compulsory for people to wear mouth masks and sanitize their hands, failing which they will not be allowed to enter the Jalpaiguri Dinbazar market premises. Such an initiative has been taken as several people crowd the market area on a regular basis.

It has been alleged that several people are spotted buying commodities in the market area without maintaining social distance (a minimum of 1 m). Some are also spotted without mouth masks. Therefore, the Police have strictly ordered that the buyers should wear mouth masks and sanitize their hands before purchasing commodities.

Apart from this, it has been decided that 5 people will be allowed to enter the market at a time. Strict police surveillance is being kept in the surrounding areas.
