Jalpaiguri, 23rd December: The locals of Bhot Ghati village of Jalpaiguri Sadar block have been terrorized by a wild leopard, which has been preying on cattle.
Reportedly, several goats, ducks and chickens had been disappearing from the village in the past few days. Sensation prevailed after the villagers found a dead calf in the tea garden this afternoon.
Upon receiving the news, the forest department personnel reached the spot and have initiated measures to catch the leopard. Villagers have demanded to put cages in the area to lessen terror among the people.
