Rajganj, 18th November: Jalpaiguri District-in-council President Uttara Barman laid the foundation stone of a paved road in Rajganj, on Thursday. She inaugurated the 7-kilometre road through Bhandarigachh under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block. The road is being constructed at a cost of around 4 crores 16 lakh rupees from the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund.
“The locals had a long-standing demand because this road is important. This road is around 7 kilometres. This will be of great benefit to the people of this area,” Uttara said.
Dulal Debnath, vice-president of Jalpaiguri district-in-council, Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Purnima Roy, member of Jalpaiguri district council Lovely Parveen, and many others were present at the programme.
