Jalpaiguri, 19th October: During a meeting held at the RTC Hall of the District Magistrate’s Office on Monday, the Jalpaiguri district administration urged the general public to follow all safety measures throughout the Durga Puja.
The meeting was attended by SDO Ranjan Kumar Das, OSD Susanta Roy, Deputy CMOH-2 Mridul Ghosh, and the district administration officials.
In today’s meeting, the district administration and health department informed the puja committees to organize pujas in every locality. They further directed them to follow all COVID related protocols. Oximeters, oxygen cylinders, and vehicles must be available in the puja pandal premises for medical emergencies.
OSD Susanta Roy urged all to wear masks during Durga Puja. He advised everyone to be careful and take precautions properly to keep the number of COVID cases in the district under check.
