INTTUC’s strike cause harassment to passengers at NJP station

Siliguri, 05th February: INTTUC leader Prasenjit Roy and his associates have been accused of vandalizing the NJP dry port on Thursday. 6 people were arrested in the incident.


Opposing the incident, all buses, cars, e-rickshaws (Totos), and city autos were restricted at NJP station today. All hotels and shops were also shut down.

The passengers and tourists faced extreme harassment due to the strike. They were stranded for long hours after getting off the train. Some even walked long distances to board public vehicles.


Meanwhile, Roy was not seen anywhere in the station. However, his supporters were spotted shutting down the shops. Police surveillance was also kept across the station since morning.
