Siliguri, 04 July: An inter-coaching camp football championship was organized on the 102nd birth anniversary and 37th death anniversary of the late Panu Dutt Majumdar.
An under-14 football tournament was organized in Dada Bhai Sporting Club today. During this, Siliguri Municipal Corporation Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, Siliguri Mahakuma Krira (sports) Parishad Football Secretary Sourav Bhattacharya, Bhaskar Dutta Majumdar, and others were present. The sports enthusiast was commemorated during the event.
The football tournament has been organized under the supervision of Panu Dutt Majumdar Smriti Sab Peyechir Asar and Siliguri Veteran Players Association. Ten teams are participating in the tournament. The final match will be held on July 06.
In every match, winner and runner-up teams along with Man of the Match, Best Goalkeeper, and Man of the Series will be awarded in the competition.
Bhaskar Dutta Majumdar on behalf of the organization stated the football tournament has been organized in Siliguri with the objective of improving the game amongst the upcoming youth.
