Indira Gandhi Smriti Raksha Committee observed 104th birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi

Siliguri, 19th November: The 104th birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi, the first woman Prime Minister of India, was observed on behalf of the Indira Gandhi Smriti Raksha Committee in Ward No. 23 of Siliguri.


Blankets were distributed among the needy today. Protul Chakraborty, Madan Bhattacharya, Ranjan Shil Sharma, Satyajit Adhikari, Kalyan Raha, Rupa Paul (wife of late Krishnachandra Paul) and BoA member Ranjan Sarkar were present at the programme.

Ranjan Sarkar said “Indira Gandhi formed the modern India. We thank each and every member of the Indira Gandhi Smriti Raksha Committee for giving the statue its proper status. “ He further said that they have a desire to beautify the statue in the future.
