Indian Oil Corporation conduct emergency response drill at Raninagar LPG Bottling Plant

Jalpaiguri, 17th August: An emergency response drill was conducted at Raninagar LPG Bottling Plant, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd in Jalpaiguri, today afternoon.


The drill scenario was about assuming a fire that took place on account of LPG leakage from one of the LPG Pipeline Flanges. Combating the same with the Discharge of the DCP Fire Extinguishers and with the subsequent operation of Deluge Valves aided Sprinkler Operation, water monitors and Double Hydrants.


The drill was monitored by Jalpaiguri Directorate of Factories Avijit Banerjee, Fire Service OC Rajib Kumar Kundu, Jalpaiguri SIB P.K.Sarkar, DDMA Dr Swapan Kumar Biswas, District Magistrate Office ASI Narayan Ch. Bhowmik, Kotwali Police Station Jalpaiguri, and mutual aid members Dharam Pal SHQ, BSF, Jalpaiguri, Debojyoti Kar, Tarai Foods.
