Import-export work officially launched at NJP land port

Siliguri, 27th May: Starting today, the import-export work officially commenced at the land port situated in Bholamore adjacent to NJP. A rail wreck with 12 compartments left for Kolkata.

It is to be noted that this is the first land port in North-East India. Basically, various goods can be sent directly to other states and neighboring countries through this port at a low cost and in a short time. Although this land port was built in 2020, the import-export work was suspended due to the complexity of various government rules. Finally, on Thursday, the import-export work was officially launched.

Mohammad Alam Khan, the manager of the association, said that from now on, two trains will directly import and export goods in a week. The number will be further increased in the future.
