Siliguri, 07th October: Illegal teak wood furniture was recovered in Fulbari from a bus with Bihar’s registered number.
Based on a tip-off, the forest workers under the leadership of Dabgram Range Officer of Baikunthapur Forest Department Shyamaprasad Chakladar raided the Fulbari Battalion More on Wednesday night. The team detained a bus and conducted a search, following which, they recovered a wooden bed and illegal furniture worth Rs 50,000.
According to the forest department, the furniture was being transported from Jaigaon to Bihar without any valid documents.
