Karandighi, 13th October: Based on a tip-off, the Karandighi police launched operations and recovered illegal cough syrup from a bicycle shop in the Karandighi police station area of Uttar Dinajpur district. A man identified as Bikash Mandal has been arrested in the incident.
205 bottles of cough syrup were recovered which were stored for smuggling into Bangladesh. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
