Rajganj, 20th December: In another breakthrough, the Rajganj police station arrested one more individual in connection with an illegal call center allegedly operational in a residence in Belakoba.
Significantly, the current arrest made the total number of arrests in the case to eight, including the house owner. Among the arrested, one individual is stated to be a resident of Belakoba, while the others are from Siliguri.
Earlier on Tuesday, the cops of Belakoba Outpost and Rajganj police station launched a joint operation and raided a residence located in the Saheb Bari area of Belakoba. During the raid, five women and two men were arrested. In addition, several mobile phones, SIM cards, two laptops, a four-wheeler, and other items were seized.
Reportedly, the same evening, another individual was arrested from Belakoba, in a subsequent raid. On Wednesday, all arrested accused have been produced before the Jalpaiguri court, while, the police are engaged in further investigation.
