If both MLAs can save their seats, I will leave politics: Ranjan Sarkar

Siliguri, 21st January: The Siliguri MLA and Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya and Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Shankar Malakar alleged that the primary list of reservation published for the Siliguri Municipal Corporation election is completely unconstitutional and that the list has been published without any rules only to aid the ruling Trinamool Congress.

Both the leaders had stated that a complaint letter will be handed over to the Magistrate against the list on January 27th. It is being speculated that the Left Front and the Congress can contest the elections together in the elections. Meanwhile, two meetings have also been held between the two leaders, in which, discussions were held primarily regarding the candidates.

Meanwhile, the opposition Trinamool has targeted the Left Front and Congress, in this context. The Trinamool District President and Leader of Opposition in the Municipal Corporation, Ranjan Sarkar, stated that the people would have to use binoculars to find both the leaders after the assembly elections. He further challenged that if both the MLAs win their respective seats, then he would leave politics.
