Phansidewa, 12th December: ICDS workers protested by gheraoing the CDPO office of Phansidewa in support of several demands including payment of allowance. Members of Paschim Banga Anganwadi Karmi Sahayika Kalyan Samiti today protested at the CDPO office premises alleging that they were not getting their due payments, fuel money and money for vegetables and eggs on time.
Moushumi Ghosh Dhar, North Bengal convenor of the Paschim Banga Anganwadi Karmi Sahayika Kalyan Samiti, maintained that a total of Rs 3,750 has been paid this month while Rs 4,500 remains outstanding. Apart from this, the workers are facing multiple problems with the survey of the housing scheme.
Meanwhile, CDPO Shikha Lama blamed technical glitches to be behind the entire incident. Along with this, she also assured to solve the problem at the earliest.
