Siliguri, 05th January: In a significant breakthrough, the Special Operations Group (SOG) team and the police of the Pradhan Nagar police station raided two restaurants in the Salbari area of Siliguri and recovered a huge quantity of foreign liquor. The incident led to the arrest of the accused Sanjok Rai (29), Tenzing Bhuchung Bhutia (45), and Gopen Rai (44).
According to the information received, foreign liquor was being sold illegally in two restaurants located in the Salbari area under the jurisdiction of the Pradhan Nagar police station. Subsequently, on Thursday night, the team of officials conducted a joint operation in the said restaurants and seized a substantial quantity of foreign liquor. Additionally, three individuals were arrested in connection to the case. On Friday, the arrested accused were produced before the Siliguri court.
