Hooligans vandalize five houses in Fulbari’s Chaturagach area, victims demand justice

Rajganj, 22nd March: Tension gripped the Chaturagach Nichpara area after five houses were allegedly vandalized by a group of miscreants, on Monday evening. The affected families have approached the police demanding punishment for the accused individuals.


 

In this regard, Kalpana Sutradhar, one of the victims, said that three youths came into the village in the evening and started verbally abusing her. “When my husband protested, the youths beat him up and ransacked our house,” she recalled. Kalpana further added that the youths returned to the village at night with some of their associates and caused havoc in the area. Apart from Kalpana Sutradhar, the houses of Nirapad Sarkar, Ravi Das, Dinesh Sarkar, and Sumitra Roy were also vandalized.


NJP police reached the spot at night after receiving the news of the incident. On the other hand, Fulbari No. 2 Gram Panchayat Pradhan Dilip Roy took stock of the situation on Tuesday morning. He highly condemned the incident and demanded strict punishment for the culprits.
