Herd of 30 wild tuskers invades residential area in Madarihat

Alipurduar, 20th October: Panic gripped the residents of Meghnad Saha Nagar of Madarihat in Alipurduar after a herd of thirty wild elephants was spotted roaming the area on Friday morning.


As per reports, the elephants arrived from the Jaldapara National Park forest and made their way into the village. As a result, the locals were terrified of anticipated elephant-human conflicts. In the meantime, the Jaldapara Forest Department received this information. Subsequently, the forest personnel hurried to the scene and got to work driving the herd back into the forest.
