Siliguri, 22nd July: A police personnel’s mysterious death in the New Colony area of Ward No. 47 in Siliguri has created tension in the area. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Mohan Jha, who was posted in Islampur.
According to family sources, late on Tuesday night, Krishna Mohan Jha’s son woke up to go to the washroom and found his father lying unconscious on the floor inside. Family members, with the help of neighbours, brought him out of the washroom and informed Pradhan Nagar Police Station.
Following the information, police sent an ambulance and he was rushed to Siliguri District Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased’s wife has alleged that it was not a natural death and claimed that her husband was murdered as part of a planned conspiracy.
She stated that her husband had left home around 11 pm on his scooty and had the house keys in his pocket. However, when he was later found unconscious inside the washroom, his scooty was missing and the house keys were also not found in his pocket or anywhere inside the house.
Police have started an investigation into the incident. Investigating officials are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
