Siliguri, 23rd October: Under the initiative to prevent dengue, former councillor of Siliguri’s Ward No. 18 Nikhil Sahni released guppy fishes in various drains of Baghajatin Park under the ward, this morning.
Reportedly, earlier too, guppy fishes were released in several drains of Siliguri. However, the fish did not survive. For this reason, today a new batch of 5 kg of fishes were released in various drains of the ward.
In this regard, Nikhil Sahni said that the initiative was taken keeping in mind the possible outbreak of dengue, especially amid the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.
