Goutam Deb rents house in Ward No. 33 after opponents call him ‘outsider’

Siliguri, 11th January: After being called an ‘outsider candidate’ by opponents, Goutam Deb shut down all accusations and rented a house near Laketown in Ward No. 33. He is currently living in the said house and has also opened an office. Deb has further claimed to buy a house in the same ward and open a party office after winning the Siliguri municipal election.

“Many people have won from other wards before and become mayor and councillors. I have rented a house to stay with the people here. I will stay in this ward in the future also,” Deb said.

This is not the first time Deb has shown such an effort. While he was contesting the assembly elections too, he rented a house in the Shantinagar area under the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency.
