Siliguri, 17th December: ‘Talk to Chairman’ service has been launched in Siliguri Municipal Corporation to solve various problems of the SMC area.
On Friday, Goutam Deb, the chairman of the governing body of SMC, heard out the problems of 30 people in one hour today. Many residents complained about garbage and dirty sewers. Residents of different wards also informed him regarding problems of water and building plan.
SMC has promised to solve all the problems. On the other hand, around 29 phone calls have been received in the last week. Goutam Deb claimed that most of the issues have been solved. As he will be out of the city on Saturday, the ‘Talk to Chairman’ was held on Friday.
