Siliguri, 10th June: Under the initiative of the state government, school uniforms, food items, books, and shoes were handed over to the guardians of the students of Siliguri Deshbandhu Vidyapith Girl’s High School by SMC administrator Goutam Deb. Apart from inspecting the school premises, Deb also carried out a tree plantation programme.
Goutam Deb said that 10 thousand saplings will be planted in Siliguri. “With the assistance of the Forest Department, we will try to plant trees in various educational institutions and open spaces,” he added.
