Rajganj, 05th August: A goods-laden vehicle overturned on the Karatoya bridge due to a burst tyre. The incident occurred on Sunday night at Hati More near Rajganj on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway.
According to reports, the small goods carrier was heading towards Jalpaiguri when it abruptly overturned upon arriving at the middle of the bridge due to a burst tyre. Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the commotion. The driver sustained significant injuries in the mishap and was transported to the Rajganj Rural Hospital after being rescued.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Rajganj police arrived at the scene. The incident had led to a traffic disruption on the national highway as the overturned vehicle was blocking the road. The vehicle was recovered and taken into police custody.
