GJM leader Binay Tamang refuses to comment on Bimal Gurung

president Binay Tamang, who is mourning the demise of his father, addressed the media today after a gap of about a month. However, he strictly declined to comment on the return of underground leader Bimal Gurung.

However, he said that he will officially issue a statement on the matter after the upcoming talk with the State Chief Minister in Kolkata on November 03.


Tamang said that he along with the party General Secretary and GTA Chairman Anit Thapa will attend the talks which will be hosted by Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna on November 03. 

Furthermore, Tamang indicated that he will discuss how peace and tranquillity can be maintained in the hills as well as to discuss the current political situation of North Bengal with the Chief Minister. The discussion will also be made in regards to the upcoming 2021 Bengal Assembly elections. 

Tamang maintained that the people of the hills, Terai and Dooars will be notified regarding the discussion after the meeting.
