General Secretary Munish Tamang resigns from National Gorkhaland Committee

Siliguri, 26th February: The existence of the National Gorkhaland Committee (NGC) seems to be in crisis as its members are resigning one after another.

Likewise, the General Secretary of the NGC Dr Munish Tamang quit from his post as well as an ordinary member, on Friday. He submitted his resignation letter to NGC President Lt General (retd) Shakti Gurung. Earlier too, six members of the committee namely Prof. Shrawan Acharaya, P. Arjun, Joel Rai, Sukman Moktan and Roshni Rai have already submitted their resignation.

It is to be noted that National Gorkhaland Committee ( NGC) was formed in 2017 by former army officers and bureaucrats from the Gorkha community to work towards the formation of Gorkhaland.
