Siliguri, 05th May: A resident of Fulbari, Khagendranath Roy had vowed to never shave his beard if Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee did not become the Chief Minister of the state.
After winning the election, Mamata Banerjee took oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the third consecutive term on Wednesday. Following which, Khagendranath Roy, from Fulbari Purba Dhantala area, shaved off his beard. Several people gathered at the ground to see him keep his promise.
He said, “I did not shave for 6 months. I decided that I will shave the day when Didi will take oath as the Chief Minister again.”
