Fulbari’s Jiten Chhetri bedridden for three years, pleads for assistance

Fulbari, 15th May: Jiten Chhetri, a resident of the Paschim Dhantala area in Fulbari II Gram Panchayat, has been bedridden for three years due to severe physical ailments. Unable to afford medical treatment, Jiten and his family are struggling for survival and have pleaded for assistance.

Reportedly, Jiten, the sole breadwinner, is responsible for his two children and elderly mother. His wife passed away four years ago, further straining the family’s resources. Jiten’s condition, primarily caused by high blood sugar levels, has left him incapacitated and is in dire need of medical attention. However, the lack of funds makes treatment unattainable.

Doctors have advised Jiten to consume nutritious food, but he can barely afford basic necessities, such as rice, let alone medication. The family survives on the allowance of Rs 1,000 per month received by Jiten’s mother, Meena Kumari Chhetri. This small sum is only enough to provide rice and salt twice a day.

In this desperate situation, Jiten and his mother are appealing to the public for financial assistance to afford proper medical treatment.
