Fulbari murder update: 26-year old arrested from Chopra

Siliguri, 14th July: Police arrested a youth from Daspara of Chopra police station in North Dinajpur district in connection with the Fulbari murder case. The arrested accused has been identified as Siddiqui Ali (26).

During a press conference at the NJP police station on Wednesday, DCP East Joy Tudu said that there may be a money-related motive behind the murder. It is being assumed that two more people might be involved in the incident. For investigation purposes, the police will appeal for 14 days remand.

It is to be noted that on July 07, Saddam Hussain, a resident of Chopra, was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon and his throat was slit at Fulbari Murder More. The deceased used to export stones from Fulbari to Bangladesh. For business purposes, he had rented a house in Jatiyakali.

The NJP police launched investigations and arrested Siddiqui Ali with the help of the Chopra police. A surgical blade, a motorcycle, and a mobile phone were recovered from his possession.
