Siliguri, 28th July: A free COVID vaccination camp was organized at Tarun Tirtha Club in Ward No. 24 for differently-abled people above 45 and people above 70 years of age.
The vaccination camp was organized by Siliguri Welfare Organization with the assistance of the state government and under the initiative of Liver Foundation Kolkata. BoA member Ranjan Sarkar and Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh were present at the camp.
Ranjan Sarkar scoffed at the central government over COVID vaccination and said that the centre is only involved in politics. “The Darjeeling MP is never available and the Siliguri MLA is politicizing all day,” he alleged.
On the other hand, MLA Shankar Ghosh said “I am not here as an MLA but as the working president of the club. I am not interested in sitting at my club function and talking about what I should do as an MLA.”
